Pilot Season is a television miniseries written by Charles Fisher and Sam Seder, directed by Seder, and starring Sarah Silverman. The show followed on from the 1997 film Who's the Caboose?, which was also written by Fisher and Seder and again stars Silverman as Susan Underman and was broadcast in 2004 on the now-defunct Trio cable network

Fresh Blood is an ABC TV and Screen Australia initiative created in 2013 to kick-start the careers of young comedy writers, directors and performers. Fresh Blood Pilot Season is the second phase of the three-year initiative. In the first phase, 24 young creative teams delivered more than 70 sketches for Fresh Blood which screened on ABC iview in June 2014. Following the success of the sketches, the 24 teams were asked to submit ideas for half-hour comedy pilots. From these submissions, five teams were selected to make their pilots. In the third and final phase of the initiative, the best pilot will be awarded a series commission.

Kobo Tabata lives in a typical Japanese family. The second of a series of four features Monogram made based on the comic strip by Hal Forrest (Universal also used the strip characters in two serials), finds a movie company shooting a war picture at Three Points airport, with Tailspin Tommy Tompkins as a stunt pilot in the film.
